The Sampan Boat

Sitting inside the sampan boat
initial fear and worry made me choked;
then I was told to keep quiet and sit still
and trust in the boatman’s skill.

Gladness and joy flooded my being
as I marvelled at what I was seeing;
the serene sea and flowing breeze
truly calm my soul and brought me peace.

And I remembered the bible story
of Jesus walking on the sea;
He told Peter, "come to me
by faith you can also walk on the sea."

Yes, when I can trust and obey
the Author and Finisher of our faith,
I can do the impossible thing
when I give God my whole being.

Time

Time moves on, time moves on,
Minutes, seconds pass away.
That which is passed, is gone,
And will not be back to stay.

Time is the essence of life,
Give it to your loved one wisely.
Then’ll you never have to cry
When she is taken away so suddenly
